NPCC Compliance Staff will use the NERC Uniform Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement program (Appendix 4C to the NERC Rules of Procedure) to determine whether violations to NERC,and Regional Reliability Standards have occurred after making the appropriate compliance investigation. NPCC will then enforce the violations in accordance with the ERO Sanction Guidelines. The initial and final determination of a sanction, in the case of a confirmed violation, will be made by the NPCC Compliance Staff, endorsed by the NPCC Compliance Committee and forwarded to the NPCC Board of Directors.

The violation will be mitigated by the Registered Entity found in violation and NPCC Compliance Staff will verify that the violation has been mitigated and close out the violation.

NPCC Compliance Staff will also enforce the NPCC Criteria applicable to the NPCC membership functioning as part of the coordinated interconnected network.
