NPCC would like to remind all existing Reliability Coordinators (RC), Balancing Authorities (BA) , and Transmission Operators (TOP) that certain changes to your Control Center operations may require NPCC to perform a Certification Review as per Appendix 5A of the NERC Rules of Procedure.
Examples of changes include:
In all instances of change, NPCC recommends that the entity contact NPCC at [email protected] with a description and explanation of the proposed changes so that NPCC may assess the situation and concur with NERC if necessary. A Certification Notification and Preliminary Questionnaire is located on the NPCC website.
Similar to a compliance audit, activities associated with a Certification Review must be scheduled and NPCC recommends a nine (9) month advance notice.
