Approval Ballot for Revised NPCC Regional Reliability Directory #11 Disturbance Monitoring Equipment Criteria.


NPCC Full Member Representatives and Alternates:
Attached for your approval are clean and redlined versions of revised NPCC Directory #11 Disturbance Monitoring Equipment Criteria which has reviewed and updated by the NPCC Task Force on System Protection (TFSP) in accordance with the review cycle for this document.
The TFSP considered emerging protection technologies, industry lessons learned and the impact of the evolving NERC Standards on the criteria.
Highlights of the TFSP review include:
- Revisions to Requirements R1.2 and R3.4 which broaden the applicability of each requirement.
- Revision to Requirement R7.
- Updated Appendices A, B and C.
Cost Effectiveness and Resilience Survey:
In accordance with the recommendations of the Strategic Review of the NPCC Criteria, the Task Force considered the incremental reliability benefit and cost effectiveness of the reliability criteria contained in Directory#11.
The results of this cost effectiveness evaluation have been documented in the permanent review record of Directory#11.
Ballot:
In accordance with Section VIII of the NPCC Amended and Restated By-Laws dated January 1, 2012, this document will be considered approved upon receipt of a two thirds affirmative vote of the Full Members.

- Revisions to the NPCC reliability criteria contained in NPCC Regional Reliability Directory #11 Disturbance Monitoring Equipment Criteria.
