NPCC 2016 General Meeting

Attached is the Agenda for the upcoming NPCC General Meeting to be held at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, 1050 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, Quebec. The theme of the 2016 General Meeting is “Reliability Challenges.” The meeting begins on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Following the welcoming remarks from Sylvain Clermont, Director, Reliability Standards and Regulatory Compliance, Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie, NPCC’s Chairman, Harvey Reed and Edward Schwerdt, President & CEO of NPCC will highlight NPCC’s recent activities, accomplishments and outlook for the future.

In the Keynote Session, “Distributed Energy Resources Integration”, Brian Evans-Mongeon, President and CEO of Utility Services, Inc. and Vice Chair of the NERC Planning Committee will summarize the current NERC activities related to incorporating Distributed Energy Resources into planning models and studies, and identify the “Reliability Challenges” related for reliable integration.

Brian Harrell, Director of Security and Risk Management within Navigant’s Energy Practice

will provide an overview of the “Reliability Challenges” associated with providing Cyber & Physical Security Resiliency.

The meeting will conclude with a presentation regarding “Reliability Challenges” associated with northeast natural gas supply and delivery for the upcoming 2016/2017 winter period by Stephen Leahy, Vice President, Policy & Analysis, Northeast Gas Association.

Marc Boucher, President of Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie will speak at a reception and dinner the previous evening, following the meetings of the NPCC Reliability Coordinating Committee, and the Governmental/Regulatory Affairs Advisory Group (reception starts at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:30 pm).
