NPCC 2019 General Meeting


Attached is the Agenda for the upcoming NPCC General Meeting to be held at the Montréal Marriott Château Champlain, 1050 De, Rue de la Gauchetière O, Montréal, QC H3B 4C9. The theme of the 2019 General Meeting is “Reliable Transformation of the Power Grid.” The meeting begins on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.
Following opening remarks from NPCC Chairman Harvey Reed and Edward Schwerdt, NPCC President and CEO, Sylvain Clermont, Director, Operational Technologies Convergence Hydro-Québec will provide an overview of the activities underway related to the digitalization of the grid. The New York ISO has been invited to present the plans to provide reliability and a greener grid in their Power Trends 2019. Gabriel Adam, Senior Manager – Engineering Studies at the Ontario IESO will present the Ontario
initiatives for distributed energy resources integration. Michael Henderson, Director Regional Planning & Coordination at ISO-New England will describe the initiatives in their recently approved 2019 Regional System Plan. The General meeting closes with a presentation by Stephen Leahy, Vice President, Policy of the Northeast Gas Association, regarding the natural gas outlook.
