NPCC’s 2020 Summer Electricity Assessment
(The Assessment covers New York, New England, and Eastern Canada)
The Northeast Power Coordinating Council, Inc. (NPCC), which coordinates the reliability of the international bulk power systems in Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada, has completed its annual reliability assessment for this summer, which brackets plausible COVID-19 impacts.
A media statement and Summary Assessment Report will be electronically available after 6:00 PM EDT, Wednesday, May 6 on request. Please email media@npcc-media.org
A media conference call will be held Thursday, May 7, by NPCC President and CEO, Edward Schwerdt and Philip Fedora, Assistant Vice President of Reliability Services, to respond to questions regarding the reliability of the bulk power system in the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada during the 2020 summer months.
